Bansko is located in the south-western Bulgaria at the foot of the Pirin mountains. The city lies at an altitude of 925m. It is located from Sofia 160 km. Bansko is part of the National Park Pirin, which is since 1983 under the protection of UNESCO.
Ski resort
The ski resort is located 12km from the city and is located on the northern slopes of the Pirin Mountains. Top of Ski center is on 2600 meters above sea level. Total length is 70 km.
