Slovene town, with the population of 3.700 people, has

Over the meadows leads a marching way to the Mulej´s top where a
unique phenomenon begins - the wood reservation with an extensive
peat swamp and 19 lakes. This is the world of dwarf trees, peat
moss, round-leaf drosera and rhododendron ferrugineum.
The value of the old
Skomarje is a pictureque village, 944 meters high on the hillside of
the Zreäko Pohorje.The church of St. Lambert was first mentioned in
1313. Jurij Vodovnik ( 1791 - 1858 ) - a popular singer and poet was
born there. The architercture of Pohorje is original.Low, wooden,
sometimes even shingle roofed houses disclose a cosy interior. Visit
